Sharing the Magic: My Lindy Dance Magical Creation

For my fellow Magicians and Dancing Hero’s Partners,

Most of you know how much I love dancing and how committed I am to it.

I would love to share with you the Magical creation of my Lindy (a type of jive dance) class with Swing Patrol.

Last Saturday, as part of Swing Patrol annual’s performance ball, my level 1 dance class participated in a routine of our own.

There were 28 performances during the ball. We had been practising for over 8 weeks.

My journey to the performance night wasn’t a walk or a hop in the park. There was lots of tension, and not just the creative kind, hanging with the tension, refocusing.

Beliefs freely flying around – Trust, control, perfection, there’s a right way, not allowed to be capable, not good enough…. You name it, I had it. About mastering the dance routine, having a dance partner (one that I would love dancing with), and even the outfit.

All the hanging with the tension and the refocusing on what I would love to create, finally paid off.

And that’s a good place to thank my hero’s partners: Carolina, Mario, Banjie and my coach Thea for bearing with me, keeping me focused and refocusing on what I love. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! 😊 xxxox

The performance night itself was amazing. There were really beautiful, creative, creations there. (You might be able to find some on YouTube)

Our own routine was fun and worked like a charm. The actual dance passed in a flash.

I had a great, handsome, lovely dance partner.

And a bonus: Since I was having a few hours to kill between the last rehearsal on Saturday and the ball itself, I even created a spa in the same venue, where I could relax, and most importantly, shower and dress, ready for the dance. How cool is that?

I’m looking forward to the next dancing adventure!! (Blues Baby Blues… in Nov).

Here’s a video of the performance –

It has a West Side Story theme. We are the ones in red with the C for Clapham fighting the Waterloo venue in blue. We are the cool underdogs. 😉 And with only one hour rehearsal on the day with the Waterloo crew, it turned out pretty good.

Enjoy 😊

Love and Magic

Leor 😊

After the performance, still with dancing shoes on, ready to dance the night away.
