The Artist (A love song …)

The following poem can be sung to the tune of Coldplay’s song “The Scientist”; it was inspired by their song. It is the ‘artist’ reply, expressing her love.

The Artist / Leor Noham

Wanted to call you, tell you I love you
Couldn’t bring my fingers to dial
Walked to the river, the leaves are falling
Searching for the spark in my heart

People are smiling, the sun is shining
Golden leaves cover the path
River is flowing, seagulls are flying
Sitting on a bench in the park

Wanted to show you my secrets
Colours and shapes dance in the light
Wanted to share my deep felt
How you got me right from the start
Oh let me get back – my heart

I was just dreaming, blowing soap bubbles
Crafting pieces of art
The sun is smiling, people are shining
Golden leaves cover my heart

Seagulls are flowing, river is flying
Want to get back to the start
The birds are singing, shadow and light play
Between the trees in the park

Wanted to paint you a picture
Showing what is deep in my heart
Why don’t you tell me your feelings
Maybe we can craft a different path
Let’s go back to the heart…

Ooooohhhhhhh
AhaaOooohhhhhhh
Ooooohhhhhhh
AhaaOooohhhhhhh

*~*~*

Love yourself – change your world,

Love,

~Leor
