I found this poem I wrote in August, when I had just started “playing” with social media. It was before I dared to put my poems online, for all to see 😊.
It is dedicated to all of you (including me) who would love to say something clever, inspiring, profound or just connect with people (or someone special) using social media and don’t always know how.

I really wanted to say something profound
and my words float adrift in my unconscious mind
I really wanted to say something profound
to give you hope, light your mood and mine
I really wanted to write something profound
on twitter, on Facebook
on the bridge between the heart and the mind
And I couldn’t convey my feelings in words
and I couldn’t decide between wands and rods
So I silenced my mind
and listened to my heart

Looking for this profound feeling
that flows between us
and transforms parts
into one
